Paris Diaries - Partie Un: Art!
"This world is but a canvas to our imagination"

Paris never disappoints...
My trip coincided with the art expo FIAC (Foire internationale d'art contemporain) at the Grand Palais. For several days, Paris transforms into the world capital of contemporary art. C'est super!

DISCOVER
Sophie Calle - A French artist who shares my birthday :)
Her exhibit at The Musée de La Chasse is a veritable cabinet of curiosities and poetry in the form of taxidermy, sculpture and prose.
Yana Friedman's mobile architecture at the glamorous and important FIAC art fair this year sent me into a design frenzy! Other noteworthy artists who exhibited are Niki De Saint Phalle (my personal fave) and Takisha Murakami.
Christian Dior at The Musée des Arts Décoratifs:
A lavish and prolific retrospective of his works, including the illustrious couturiers that preceded him. I cannot overstate the brilliance and beauty of this singular exhibit. Mr. Dior owned color like no other.
